Subject: sabtty as console?

Now that we have a driver for the SAB (`se') serial ports on the Ultra5,
I thought I'd try my U5 (which uses a serial console normally) with the
new driver, rather than using the PROM for I/O.

Unfortunately, I don't seem to get very far; the first of the sab ports
(or maybe the controller?) is probed, and then my term server drops the
connection as if DTR went low.

I can later reconnect, but the machine seems to be stuck in a no-mans
land where it's not booted and it's taking input... The kernel output
before the line is dropped is attached below.

Should I expect console on the sab ports to work, or is it known to not
work? In either case, I'll try and do some digging, but thought I'd
ask here first.

Thanks!
