It gets even worse.

They want $455 to go from the $995 model to the next one up, and the ONLY
difference is an additional 128 Mbyte DRAM DIMM.  Nice markup!

Want a DVD-ROM instead of the CD-ROM?  Sorry, can't have that!  Must pay
another $1000 (US $2450 total) to get the DVD-ROM, because you *also* have to
take the "Expert3D-Lite" graphics card along with it, too.  No options
otherwise.

And then there's the biggest laugh - the only difference between the
"Large" (US $2450) and "Extra Large" (US $2950) configurations is that the
"Extra Large" has 2 256 Mbyte DRAM DIMMs, instead of 1.

So.  Sun is charging $500 for a single 256 Mbyte DRAM DIMM.

What is Sun smoking, and where can I get some?
