They are becoming brittle. It's very unfortunate. The only Aurora chassis machine that we currently have on exhibit at LSSM is an SS5, which is the front end to a Cray. Its chassis is ok for now. But last year, on my SS20 at home, I was removing the top cover to install a GPIB board and the plastic part of the cover split right in half. :-(
