Interesting... Then again, Linux is mainly respecting its own standards.

I ran into an nfs problem on Arch recently, and learned that linux 
kernel upstream had disabled nfs-over-udp. Since this decision wasn't 
advertised beyond the mailing-list hangout, the Arch default kernel 
inherited the setting, until its maintainer stepped in.
