Javastation JK (Krups) X server resets

In spite of the rather sparse docs, I have made it all the way through
to starting the X server.

When I say: "X -configure", not only does it die, it reboots!

The error, of course is:

netbsdPciConfRead: failed on ttyE00

(or something like this)

Would anyone care to comment on the way to proceed from here?

Should I move to Xorg?
