The keyboard's LEDs I guess.

Just a guess - is the keyboard a type 5? If so, try plugging the cable 
into the other connector. For some reason the U1 here wouldn't 
recognize the keyboard with the cable plugged in on the left but works 
fine on the right. Mouse on the left still works though. Or maybe the 
plug on the keyboard isn't all the way in?
