greetings all,

sorry for the length, i'm new to sun hardware and hopefully will be
able to aviod relearning curve of solaris for sparc (if its available
for my hardware) i've been using freebsd for a bit over 10 years so
moving to netbsd would much easier that relearning solaris (i believe
that it is sysV ??).

i'm new to sparc/sparc64 (i got a couple of ipc's and sun ultra 1
creator3d and a ultra 60 a ss20 sun netra i) and 2 sun gdm-20e20
monitors.

can i use netbsd on thes machines and those machines in console mode
with the gdm-20e20 (is this the same as a gdm-17e20 .. sorry not sure
about that one i know it is a 17 inch screen and its similar to teh 20
inch version and that both are compatible with ibm vga signals.

can i sue these with wsconsole ? and if i can get xwindows running on
teh sun ultra 1 creator3d, these have 256 mb or 512 mb dram

the ultra 60 has 2 gb dram and 9 gb scsi2 hdd

any pointers would be muchly appreciated ..

sorry for my typing, i am disabled (damaged brain from genetic/conception)

i think i might have some 'spare' motherboards and or whole machines,
i've got so many i don't know what to wo with them all, if you want to
pick up teh postage you could have them, i'll sortout what turned up (a
friend upgraded his companies development laboritory and i was in teh
right place as they say. i've got batteries micrphones mice (optical
and manual ones) lots of cables .. all sorts of stuff.

yes, i have a 21 inch eizo flexscan 6500 would it be possible to
connect the eizo to any of teh sun machines ??? it has 5 bnc posts for
the signal input, is it possible to get those 13w3 to bnc style cables
or is there some sort of a "genderbender" plug with 13w3 on one side
and hd15 on teh other (to fit into ibm vga socket)

most kind regards and appreciations

jonathan
