Hi all. I've got a SPARC 20 running NetBSD 1.6.2. I'm trying to
upgrade it to something current, but am having trouble booting GENERIC
kernels from either 2.1 or 3.0. Console output looks like:

Testing Memory /
Type  help  for more information
ok boot disk:a netbsd-GENERIC -s
Boot device: /iommu/sbus/espdma@f,400000/esp@f,800000/sd@3,0:a File and ar=
gs: netbsd-GENERIC -s
>> NetBSD/sparc Secondary Boot, Revision 1.9
>> (toor@proxima, Tue Aug 21 23:18:13 CST 2001)
Booting netbsd-GENERIC
3255392+106132+215776 [221+203312Illegal Instruction
ok=20

At this point, I'm stuck with 1.6.2. Does anybody have any suggestions
for getting a newer kernel running?

noah
