Ok, with help from uwe (thanks!) this is fixed now. It was a bogus alignment
assumption in our code.

None of the problems so far have been caused by bugs in gcc, and I have not
seen any userland problems (besides pkgs that have bogus code, of course,
that will be a lot of fun for the pkgsrc people).
