hmm I got a SS5 today and put in a TurboGX to have the same Framebuffer
setup.

I noticed a difference between serial console output and normal setup
with keyboard.
The machine uses the cgsix when it come up. But i saw a message like

"tcx0: /dev/fb is full" or "cgsix0: /dev/fb is full" can't remember.

With a serial console, the message don't appear. But there is a
different message:

tcx0: replacing cgsix0
tcx0: attached to /dev/fb

So there is maybe a problem with the cgsix and tcx in some cases?

this is the dmesg via serial console:

SPARCstation 5, No Keyboard
ROM Rev. 2.15, 96 MB memory installed, Serial #7863130.
Ethernet address 8:0:20:77:fb:5a, Host ID: 8077fb5a.
