You'll have to excuse me, I've got a mostly working 2.0.x environment,
with the 3.0rc5 stuff available as an alternative when netbooting and
running diskless.
Unfortunately the sparc in question is my gateway/firewall machine and
the 3.0rc5 stuff isn't talking to the outside World yet!
Hence, I'm flipping between the two versions to test stuff and then to
be able to send emails.

Anyway, on the setup that started this all (2.0.x), nfs mounted /dev:

Dec 6 23:14:40 sparc login: ROOT LOGIN (root) ON console
  NetBSD 2.0.3_STABLE (BAZ.MP) #0: Sun Dec 4 13:58:23 GMT 2005

  root@sparc:~> nm /dev/ksyms | grep rnd_cdevsw
  f02451d8 A rnd_cdevsw

On the 3.0rc5 setup, with MFS mounted /dev:

Dec 6 23:38:35 sparc login: ROOT LOGIN (root) ON console
  NetBSD 3.0_RC5 (BAZ.MP) #0: Mon Dec 5 23:15:09 GMT 2005

  sparc# cat /dev/ksyms > ksyms
  sparc# /usr/bin/nm ksyms | grep rnd_cdevsw
  f02d697c A rnd_cdevsw
