Hello,

Another SPARCbook kernel:
http://macallan.homeunix.org:6704/stuff/BSD/sparc/SPARCbook3GX_04_12.bz2
Changes:
- some fixes in the PCMCIA code ( maybe it will work now... )
- the LCD display now shows the proper symbol when a PCMCIA card is present

Features:
- accelerated console with virtual screens and all that
- support for accelerated XFree86 ( no cg3-emulation, but still 8 bit )
- wskbd/wsmouse support

So, one stupid question - why does sparc use different code for the Sun mou=
se and keyboard protocol than sparc64? ms for instance can attach to zs or =
to zstty - the latter has wsmouse support, the former doesn't. The latter i=
s labeled sparc64-only but as the kernel above proves - it works at least o=
n /some/ 32bit SPARCs. I lost a lot of time trying to get the sparc-variant=
of ms* to attach a wsmouse when all I had to do was a few changes in files=
.sparc and my kernel config to just use the sparc64 code. It's even (more o=
r less) the same hardware, as far as I know the Ultra 1 and 2 use the same =
zs stuff as the SPARCstation 10, 20 and countless others. Why does it make =
a difference for NetBSD?
If it is support for ancient sun4 hardware we should allow both drivers for=
 sun4c and sun4m boxes.

have fun
Michael
