I used to run ctwm (twm but prettier and with virtual desktops)
on my DECstation 3100, which was... a 17 MHz R2000. :-) Worked
fine.

ctwm is still my preferred window manager when I need virtual
desktops, even on my fast PC at work. When I don't need virtual
desktops, I just use regular twm because it's already there,
it works, why bother with anything else?
