MB: It probably depends on the openfirware version, and maybe prom settings.

It doesn't care if the screen is attached -- it assumes that if there is
a framebuffer present, you have a screen.  And of course, if the KB is
plugged in, you have a KB.

If it doesn't find a KB, it's not going to use the screen unless you
explicitly tell it

	input-device=ttya
	output-device=screen

and I'm not even sure how reliable that would be...

[we had a reverse setup, i.e. input-device=keyboard output-device=ttya
at a workplace in one of my previous lives.]
