So, I have a disk, already partitioned the way I want it.  How do I do
an install onto that disk and end up with the same partitioning?  As
far as I can tell, your way requires another disk on the same machine
or a spare partition not overlapping the system-to-install (to stash a
copy of the label in), or a manual copy of at least some of the
partitioning values off the machine and back on.

When I looked at the source, the check was not in disklabel but rather
in sysinst.  Has that changed?
