Possibly not. I've just done a 2.0 build with X and sets and 8 kernels.
I have:

$ df /usr/obj
Filesystem 1024-blocks Used Avail Capacity Mounted on
orthanc:/usr/obj     2249983  1354731    782752    63%    /usr/obj

The sets are 110Mb and the destdir 295Mb, so just the build would fit in 1Gb.
Can you hook up an external /usr/obj or use NFS for it?
