I've used filesystem tapes under 4.2BSD (with FFS on them), but I
have yet to fix the block support for NetBSD to be able to use 
it on for example TU78 :-)

BTW the console TU58 on VAX 11/750 uses a filesystem on them, and
newfs:ing them and mounting them works fine (under NetBSD).
