Wierd. I just installed 1.6.1 from the iso on ftp.netbsd.org.

SS2, 64 megs memory, 4 gig disk. The machine was previously running
1.4.3A. Full install using the whole disk. Boots fine from CD and the
hard disk. Didn't try the miniroot.

Net installs with 1.6 and 1.6.1 also worked on IPX and SS5.
