 Kernel Blink option question

i have now a new kernel 1.6.1 created and the kernel
now its like 300kb smaller as the original installation

but now, i have the BLINK option turned on
but its does not blink :-/ its normaly ?

my machine its a old SPARC Classic with netbsd 1.6 kernel 1.6.1
