Is this problem still present in the top of the -1-6 branch? Various
reports have said that this particular bug has now been fixed, and
I've done ~10 1.6.1_RC1 installs and not hit it (previously, about 1
in 3 or 4 would trigger it).

As for the sparc64 CD install, I did not encounter anything that would
fall under the "did not work very well out of the box" heading.
