>(Well, 24 if you count two "reserved for testing" pins.)

i dunno how you count 22 or 24 from that. that looks to me like 12 or
15. :)

anyway...in my e450 manual it describes the pinout for the cable,
which seems to match the one that i have that actually works, so:

-	-	-
txd_a	o	transmit data
rxd_a	i	receive data
rts_a	o	ready to send
cts_a	i	clear to send
dsr_a	i	data set ready
gnd	-	signal ground
dcd_a	i	data carrier detect
-	-	-
-	-	-
dtr_b	o	data terminal ready
dcd_b	i	data carrier detect
cts_b	i	clear to send
txd_b	o	transmit data
trxc_a	i	transmit clock
rxd_b	i	receive data
rxc_a	i	receive clock
rxc_b	i	receive clock
rts_b	o	ready to send
dtr_a	o	data terminal ready
-	-	-
-	-	-
-	-	-
txc_a	o	transmit clock
txc_b	o	transmit clock

in case that's of any use to anyone...
