qe is so old that setting local-mac-address? to true doesn't help.
NetBSD's ifconfig can't change the MAC addresses (Solaris' can, but they
won't be permanent of course). So... I cannot do nothing. What about
sending a pr?
About that last post... I didn't know that in Solaris one must use
'ifconfig <device> plumb' to get the interface showed.
