This has been fixed in 1.5.3_RC1 in response to bug ID 15495, see
http://www.netbsd.org/cgi-bin/query-pr-single.pl?number=15495 for
details. The patch listed there was originally developed on 1.5.1
so it should work on 1.5.2 as well.
