The point was to plok the contents of "share.tar.gz" into your existing CVS
tree, since that was the missing bit.  If you're starting fresh, either
grabbing all tarballs or doing a fresh anoncvs checkout is best, as Manuel
mentioned.

Well, the documentation is "download and extract *everything*, then update
with anoncvs".  :)
