but when I do:
cu -p modem

I get:
com0: com_iflush timeout ff
com0: com_iflush timeout ff
com0: com_iflush timeout ff
com0: com_iflush timeout ff
com0: com_iflush timeout ff
then finally
Connected.
but no answer from the modem.
the modem does work on a ibm thinkpad under linux redhat 7.2 and at least
some time ago the stp4020 and the same modem were working under Solaris
2.7

Any suggestions?
