odd. You might have a hardware error then. What's the kernel panic
message?

You could try doing a memory test to see if your memory's good.

Enter Stop-A to get to the prom.
Type an 'n' to get to the new command mode
Type 'setenv selftest-#megs 16'
Type 'test /memory' to run the test.
