Hi all,

This may be off-topic (not sure)...

I have managed to get NetBSD1.5.1 running nicely on my sparcstation
voyager, and have also managed to install vncserver, and blackbox window
manager from the 1.5 packages tree.=20

Both VNC and blackbox work beautifully, and for once, I can use my
voyager in full colour (remotely of-course) without being limited to the
1-bit mono display.

My question is this: is there a way to turn off the TFT display via some
power-management function, or even just turn it off at the OK prompt so
the machine boots without a display?

The reason I ask is that I'd like to leave the machine on for extended
periods of time, and I don't want to burn out the TFT, which still works
brilliantly.

I remember under OpenWindows on the original Solaris 2.4 OS, power
management would kick in and turn off the display after a while. I
didn't set it up originally, so I don't know if that was an add-on
package.

Is the same available in NetBSD? - I'm new to this, so if I'm asking
obvious questions, please don't hurt me :-).

Many thanks for any advice,

Louis
