Might I add that I have quite a collection of older Plextor SCSI CDROMs
that see regular service. They are far and away the most reliable
peripheral devices I have ever purchased and I think you will find most
people echo my sentiments. They're a little more expensive but if you
buy one it'll be the last SCSI CDROM you ever buy. You also don't need
to buy an external CDROM, you can buy the internal Plextor UltraPlex 40X
MAX drive and swap it with your existing external SCSI CDROM. The
external case should hold it no problem.
