Forgot to mention...
I'm using a Type 5c keyboard, and the Sun optical mouse (Mouse
Systems). The mouse doeswork with 1.5.2, I assume.
Also, when the 5c keyboard is hooked up to my SS2, it sees it as a
type 4 keyboard, while the LX just says "Keyboard present", no type. On the
bottom of the keyboard, under the little door, there is a jumper across the
"JS4" option. That's probably what is identifying it as a Type 4 keyboard,
isn't it? Minor difference to me, just an observation...

!
! Well, I'm about to start the journey of loading NetBSD
! on my LX, and get X running, so I can finally use it as a
! workstation. It has 96 MB RAM, and I'll have at least 2GB of
! HDD space for it.
! It currently has SunOS 5.5.1 on a 500 (?) MB HDD.
! First, is there anything from the SunOS I should keep? I'm
! not planning on wiping the existing drive anyway. Not right
! now, atleast.
!
! Is there any install tricks or gotchas I should watch for?
!
! I've never set up X and Gnome on NetBSD before, so I
! know I'll have questions about that. Is there anyone (or a
! group?) that wouldn't mind having me send (sometimes silly)
! questions directly to them? I don't mean someone to hold my
! hand, just someone handy to answer any question, or give me a
! hint where to look, when I can't find it. That way, I don't
! cause unnecessary traffic here on the list...
!
! Thanks in advance...
