Well, I'm about to start the journey of loading NetBSD on my LX, and
get X running, so I can finally use it as a workstation. It has 96 MB RAM,
and I'll have at least 2GB of HDD space for it.
It currently has SunOS 5.5.1 on a 500 (?) MB HDD. First, is there
anything from the SunOS I should keep? I'm not planning on wiping the
existing drive anyway. Not right now, atleast.
Is there any install tricks or gotchas I should watch for?
I've never set up X and Gnome on NetBSD before, so I know I'll have
questions about that. Is there anyone (or a group?) that wouldn't mind
having me send (sometimes silly) questions directly to them? I don't mean
someone to hold my hand, just someone handy to answer any question, or give
me a hint where to look, when I can't find it. That way, I don't cause
unnecessary traffic here on the list...
Thanks in advance...
