Guys, I have a Sparcstation-20 with a rather noisy disk,
being used as a workstation. And the peasant who uses
it, and those in his vicinity - are starting to complain.

One possibility for me might be to ditch the disk and turn
it into a diskless workstation. But what I'd rather do is
leave it there, but force it shutdown when it is not actually
being read or written - a la Windoze.

Does anyone know how this can be done, please?
