I am trying to install NetBSD 1.4.2 on a IPC with 16MB on bank0 (and 4Mb
on bank1, but had been removed, and still get the same msg), I dont have a
bootable CDROM, but the CD reader reads the cd after booting, so I am
trying to boot from floppy using the bootable images (and even tried the
"repaired" ones for sun4c archs), I tried several disks (boot-142.fs and
syboot-142.fs [even if I still have not understood the difference])
created either with a 'dd if=boot-142.fs of=/dev/rfd0a' or using /dev/fd0a
as 'of', or even adding the 'bs=18k', but I ALWAYS get the SAME stuff no
matter what...(look at the log few lines below)

hmm..I tried everything but I still cant manage not to get the kernel
fault...aw..I forgot to mention the cache problem...here is what I get...

ok test-cache
200c bad 242c bad 200c bad
ok

May it have something to deal with the 'panic:kernel fault' message during
the floppy boot?
And if so, what can I do? Shall I just throw the sparc away? (sigh) Can I
force a cache disable?

Ive tried almost everything (except swapping the floppy and avoid using
previously dos-formatted disks) but every kind of boot floppy stops at the
same place with exactly the same error..
