The fas driver controls the Qlogic FAS-336 chip, which is in the same
family as the "esp" chips, the FAS-236 and FAS-101.

Qlogic doesnt seem to have any docs on their site about this chip anymore,
but there might be a useful doc on sun's site for the adventurous
programmer:

http://www.sun.com/microelectronics/chipsets/fastethernet.html

This is the sun-made ASIC that has a FAS-336 integrated into it, as well
as the processor for the HME and bpp interfaces. Sun uses this chip on all
their products that use either or both of the fas and hme interfaces (this
includes motherboards and io cards).
