absolutely!  Even if installing from CD, not all CD-ROM drives can be used
as the boot device for a sparc and a boot floppy is quite handy.  If
installing over the net, you don't need to netboot the machine (which can
be a hassle if you don't have root privs on another machine which can be a
server).
