Subject: Vi on NBSD142 sparc exiting and trashing video?

On a lark, I nuked an OpenBSD 2.6 install in favor of trying a NetBSD
1.4.2 install on a plain IPX with 16M ram and mono monitor and a 1 gig
drive.  The install went fine, X came up fine.  All seems rosy, except
when vi exits it trashes the video.  A clear restores it.
Anyone have any idea of what might be going on, and if there is a
fix for it?
