  | I thought we were still having ELF binary production issues with gcc
  | in -current.

No idea on that one...

  | I would certainly like to see a working snapshot of
  | NetBSD/sparc -current so I could get my build systems going again...

The 1.4P that is in RETRACTED/19991223 seems to work OK. I didn't reply
yesterday as it hadn't done much more than just sit there, but now I have
compiled more up to date kernels (tailored, and generic) from 1.4X (sources
from a week or so ago) and both of those work OK, so whatever the problem
with the kernel in the 20000304 snapshot was, it is no longer evident.

Now I just have to decide whether to just update the userland from one of
the more recent snapshots (most likely) or recompile all the kernel
dependent parts (the 19991223 userland is too old for the current kernel).
