The 19991223 sparc non-sysinst INSTALL kernel does not contain this string.

It is, however, too large for the normal boot blocks and can't be loaded;
the loader is overwritten and promptly crashes (Illegal Instruction).

I just tried this on the Tadpole 3gx (which is a sun4m BTW) that built it.

A stripped kernel dies in the same way. Looks like you'll need to grab new
boot blocks (when 1.4.2 goes up, it'll have some).
