Hi
I don't know if anyone received this mail originally. However, after
extensive diagnostics, it was determined that one of the simms had gone
bad. After it was removed, the machine booted cleanly and without issues.

Subject: netbooting a sparc5

Hi
I am having problems netbooting a sparc5/110. I have netbooted
sparc4/110 and sun3's from this machine before, however, i just cannot
seem to get this to work.

The machine it is booting from is a i386 netbsd 1.4 . the sparc rarps
fine, tftp's fine, but fails to load the boot file. It fails with a
'Instruction access error' from booter revision 1.8 (Sat may 8, 1999)
if i try another booter, i get the 'file just loaded is intended for a
different CPU type' and aborts.

Do i need to do something different to get this to work?

Chris
