What kind of graphics card do you have?  cgtwo through cgsix only support
8 bit color AFAICR.  You'll need a "better" card to do 24-bit.  I've never
personally done 24 bit, so I'm not even sure that it works that well.

You could dmesg to see what kind of card the kernel detected at boot.
