Has anyone got anywhere with this yet?

It has been happening for me with 1.4.1, 1.4 and 1.3.3 on various
IPC and IPX machines. Doing 'xset fp+  tcp/vus415.telecom.com.au:7100'
seems a fairly reliable way of making it happen - especially where
the designated font server is not responding properly ..

And its a right pain in the neck when you are trying to get some
work done!
