Subject: dd: /dev/rsd0b: Read-only file system

I've had a fun time today installing NetBSD/sparc. I decided to install
the snapshot, but I couldn't boot it from floppy, it died of illegal
instruction. I managed to do quite well with a 1.4.1 floppy, but the
bootsector was my downfall. I couldn't manage to install the elf
bootblock with the a.out installboot binary (hardly a surprise). (Will
the a.out bootblock work with the snapshot?)

I didn't get discouraged and tried a miniroot-approach. The funny thing
with dd:ing the miniroot to the swap-system was this:

dd if=miniroot-14L.fs of=/dev/rsd0b
dd: /dev/rsd0b: Read-only file system
1+0 records in
0+0 records out
0 bytes transferred in 1 secs (0 bytes/sec)

So I went ahead and installed 1.4.1. And still I am going crazy
wondering why the hell swap is a read-only filesystem. If you know why,
please help me (but tell it in a fashion that won't make me feel utterly
stupid ;). And if you're guessing securelevel: it's -1 on the
bootfloppy.

Here's the info on the box:
