   # On a low-cost box like this, it is more likely to be a limitation on
   # the amount of frame-buffer RAM provided.

   # NOTE that according to the Sun Web pages, the Ultra 5s support 24bit
   # depth at 1152x900; and drop to 8bit at 1280x1024. (No 16bit is probably
   # a driver restriction. But traditionally, few X11 apps have supported
   # 16bit anyway.)

How does one change the resolution to handle 1152x900? I'd gladly take
a slightly smaller screen in favour of the increased depth!

NetBSD: If you look through Windows

m64config or GFXconfig. The program should be in /usr/sbin or some such.
There should be a man page for it. Make sure your monitor can deal with
the scan rate.
