Hi, for some time now (I think it's just after the switch to ELF) I've not been
able to get a sun4c-only kernel working (cut down to a basic IPX). The kernel
is loaded but panics in the early stage of the bootstrap, before printing the
copyrigth, with a page fault trap. On a IPC it doesn't panics, it gets a
watchdog reset.
Just adding 'options SUN4M' and 'iommu0 at mainbus0' (the later being to
prevent a link error) makes a bootable kernel.
I don't have a sun4m or sun4 to test other configs.
I suspect there may be a missing '|| defined SUN4C' somewhere, but I don't
have more clues. Any idea ?
