This was before Paul did commit the promlib related changes. I also had no
problems with a kernel compiled last weekend.

Thank you for this, but I love to compile my own kernels ;) In the meantime
Paul sent a program which dumps the PROM and I sent the output of this
program back to him. I strongly beleive that Paul will find and fix this bug
soon :)
