Hi,

I have seen strange block read errors when running fsck and sometimes
newfs. The console output is

esp0: !TC on DATA XFER [intr 10, stat 83, step 4] prevphase 1, resid c00

This was with

@(#)NetBSD 1.3H (GENERIC_SCSI3) #9: Wed Oct 28 20:46:20 MET 1998

When I switched to    

@(#)NetBSD 1.3I (MOLLE) #0: Mon Nov 23 00:20:14 MET 1998
                 ^^^^^GENERIC_SCSI3+DIAGNOSTICS+INSECURE+MAXUSERS=64

these errors disappeared as sudden as they appeared with 1.3H
