This actually appears to have nothing to do with the Voyager... It's a problem
with that rev of mouse. If you use a Compact 1 mouse whose revision is -01, it
will not work. A Compact 1 mouse whose revision is -03 does work.

For example, on the Voyager or any other machine:
370-1586-01: Yields those errors
370-1586-03: Does not.
