Good choice - it's a very reliable machine, although quite slow when

There's no frame buffer integrated to the motherboard, so if all the
SBus slots are empty, you haven't got one. ;)

Yes, it has an 8-bit SCSI interface.  External disks should be fine.  SS1
has two internal 50-pin connectors for internal disks.

Don't know about wide SCSI, sorry.

Yes, X works well.  If it were a faster machine, if would be just great.. :-)
