Subject: 1.3.1 *does* recognize the Sun CD-ROM (aka Sony CDU-8012)!

Silly me -- I should have remembered that I've even had this trouble
under SunOS-4 with this particular unit. This CD sometimes will not
respond to the initial probe when it has media in it.

With the caddy ejected NetBSD/sparc-1.3.1 happily reports:

cd0 at scsibus0 targ 6 lun 0: <SONY, CD-ROM CDU-8012, 3.1a> SCSI2 5/cdrom removable

Perhaps it needs cleaning.....

It won't mount any CDs at the moment:

23:41 [229] # mount /cdrom
mount_cd9660: : Invalid argument

and from dmesg:

cd0(esp0:6:0): esp0: timed out [ecb 0xf06358a4 (flags 0x1, dleft 0, stat 0)], <state 2, nexus 0xf06358a4, phase(l 12, c 100, p 3), resid 10, msg(q 0,o 0) DMA active>
cd0(esp0:6:0): esp0: timed out [ecb 0xf06358a4 (flags 0x41, dleft 0, stat 0)], <state 2, nexus 0xf06358a4, phase(l 12, c 100, p 3), resid 10, msg(q 0,o 0) DMA active> AGAIN

or is otherwise toast....
