Like neither. On sun4, extra bits in the PTE define
which data size is being done, if I rustily recall-
types 2 && 3.

There's a complete extra special wad of foo for the
vme in the sun4m architecture- none of which I remember
now (I have the arch manual somewhere) except for there
is a real h/w deadlock problem about issuing VME IACK*
and writebuffer flushing.

Under sun4c, I don't recall any definitions specific to
VME- there are no bits for data access size in the PTE.
So- issues like how VME address modifiers are going to
get set is hard to say- I think you need to get Force's
manual for this board.
