The RS-232c standard pinout for a DB-25 connector actually has pins for two
serial ports in it. I never checked to see if Sun did this right, but I'd
bet it  is likely.

ttya is on the normal pins, and the host is a DTE (i.e. you go straight
through to talk to a modem, but need a null-modem (reverser) to talk to
another terminal).

The place to define printer stuff is /etc/printcap - name a printer,
describe the port settings, and lpd should try and print stuff. Note,
however, that (filters aside) it will simply blatt what it spools to the
printer with basically no modification.
